Raspberrry My Favorite!

I love the taste of Raspberry! Anything Raspberry is a treat for me. I planted some raspberries this year and can't wait to pick them!
Besides the taste of Raspberries There are alot of benificial properties.
native American women drank raspberry-leaf tea throughout their term of pregnancy. During labor they would drink a hot, stronger version to quicken and ease the birthing process. Colonial women learned this from the natives and used it as well. Later scientist and obstetricians discovered it as a relaxant of the uterine muscles and aid in childbirth.
To treat diarrhea, steep 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried raspbery leaves in 1 cup0 of boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes. Drink as needed. Be sure to use thoroughly dried leaves when making these teas! Raspberry leaves that contain moisture also contain hydrocyanic acid which is a dangerous poison!
4 cups of raspberries
3 1/4 cups sugar
3/4 cut white vinegar
1 cup water
Combine ingredients and let stand until berries release their juice. Simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, remove from heat and cool;.
Strain and add water or seltzer to taste. Serve over ice.
I love raspberries in my cereal or freeze them for a great snack. Just grab a handful and eat frozen they are so refreshing when it is hot outside.
I hope that these tips and recipes will make your day a great one.
Enjoy and until next time May God Bless all who read this!
