Emu Oil and Sunburn

Summer is upon us and it is time for those painful sunburns. Did you know that Emu Oil is a great healer? I will tell you how and why it works.
Emu Oil is extracted from the Emu Bird. This is an Australian natural wonder that has been used by the aborigines for thousands of years for the relief of pain due to sunburn and pain in the muscles and joints. They also used it for many skin disorders. They would actually kill the bird to eat the meat which is a very low fat healthy meat that tastes like roast beef but without all the fat. They would use every part of the bird as not to waste it. The aborigines would wrap up in the fatty skin and sit in the sun to cure skin disorders and aching joints and muscles. Then they would tan the skin and use it to make clothing. Today we still use this meat as a healthy alternative to beef as well as make boots, belts and coats etc. out of the hide. The fat just under the skin is processed and highly refined without chemicals.
This becomes an oil and is used for many useful treatments. Due to its remarkable penetrating ability Emu Oil is ideal as a facial moisturizer to help tame fine lines and wrinkles. This can be in it's natural form or can be added to lotions, soaps and other beauty products. Some of the applications that are beneficial are arthritis pain, muscle and joint pain, pain from shingles, swelling,m as a relief of pain from burns, cuts, insect bites, psoriasis, eczema, aging, age spots. Emu Oil does not clog pores so it makes a great moisturizer for the face. It goes into the skin to the under layers to heal from the inside out thus you have less scaring from burns, cuts etc. You'll find solutions to all of these treatments at the following link.
